SUMMARY:CCV Digital Photography Class Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Opening reception on May 3rd First Friday from 5 -6 PM with snacks and drinks! \nCommunity College of Vermont (CCV) is pleased to announce an upcoming exhibition showcasing the photographic work of students from our Intro to Digital Photography class\, held at our White River Junction campus. In an era marked by the ubiquity of image capture\, the class posed a fundamental inquiry: What defines a photographer amidst the proliferation of images? The response—our voices\, as expressed through the time and place in which we create our images and visual stories. Each photograph brings to life the distinct voice of its creator while weaving together our community. Through the lens of digital image-making\, our students invite you to explore the visual tapestry of our local community. Their photographs offer glimpses into moments\, emotions\, and stories\, with each frame reflecting the unique perspective of the individual behind the camera. \nMade possible in part by funding from

SUMMARY:377 by SARLO Productions
DESCRIPTION:“377” is a play about the grief and trauma of gun violence told through the perspective of high schoolers before and after a school shooting. No violence is ever portrayed on stage and collaborators Arlo Hastings and Seth Kelly put in months of research ahead of writing “377” with the goal of making the play as accurate as possible. \nSarlo Productions were advised by Lebanon High School Choral Music and Theater Arts Teacher\, Emma Cooke. “377” was created as part of a JAM High School Media Fellowship under the guidance of JAM technical director and senior producer\, Chico Eastridge. \n \n“377” cast and crew\nABOUT SARLO PRODUCTIONS\nArlo Hastings is a rising senior at Lebanon High School (LHS) and is the co-writer\, director\, and producer of “377.”  They have performed in many LHS Wet Paint Players productions\, including Eurydice\, as Orpheus\, and Merrily We Roll Along\, as Mary. Arlo is so proud of the cast for taking on this heavy play and bringing this script to life.  \n“We wrote this show because we had an opportunity to write and produce under the guidance of Emma Cooke\, and we realized that we could make a difference. We had a platform to share the voice of not just us but thousands of students across the nation. I hope that people take this show as a genuine plea for action.” – Arlo \nSeth Kelly\, a rising senior at Lebanon High School (LHS)\, is the co-writer\, director\, and producer of “377.” Most recently he played Charley Kringas in the LHS Wet Paint Players’ Merrily We Roll Along. Seth is simply incredibly thrilled to be doing what he loves\, with the people he loves\, about a topic he is passionate about\, and he is so grateful for all the people that want to help him achieve this. \n“As high school students we often don’t get a chance to share our voice but I think this is a topic that effects high school and college students the most and it’s our opinions that should be taken into consideration when deciding what to do.  This is why we wrote this show.  It is way for us to tell the world how much this effects not just the people who lose there lives or who lose a loved one in a school shooting but that this effects all of us every day.  This play intends to help us towards the goal of a nation and a world where this becomes a problem of the past” – Seth \n \nArlo Hastings (left) and Seth Kelly (right)\nMADE POSSIBLE IN PART BY FUNDING FROM

Two of the original poets\, Janet Watton and Pam Ahlen\, will resume the readings at JAM\, open to all Lampshaders as well as any poet who is interested in reading an original piece or two. Poets have the opportunity to be videoed for JAM’s community access station and YouTube channel if they wish.\n\nMADE POSSIBLE IN PART BY FUNDING FROM
