SUMMARY:JAM x HopStop Collab: The Gruffalo and Stop-motion Animation!
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Hopkins Center for the Arts’ HopStop Family Events series\, join us for a communal art project featuring a walking monster! \nIn this workshop led by JAM staff\, participants will design their own monster to be added to an animated walking monster. After drawing your monster\, join us for a screening of The Gruffalo. Based on the beloved children’s book\, The Gruffalo tells the tale of a mouse who is in search of a nut while encountering numerous predators––Fox\, Owl and Snake. To face their fears\, the mouse imagines a terrifying monster to frighten away the predators. What happens when the mouse meets the Gruffalo in real life? \nThis workshop is best suited for youth ages 6 and up. Photographs will be taken at this event. By attending\, you agree to be photographed and video recorded. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. \n  \nSchedule: \n11:00 am: Join us in the Nearburg Gallery and Art Forum for the Stop Animation Workshop.\n11:30 am: Head into the Loew Auditorium for the-27 minute film screening. \n  \nTickets: \nFREE\, but registration is encouraged at the Hop website.
