SUMMARY:Story JAM: Bi-Monthly Storytelling Circle
DESCRIPTION:In a society increasingly divided and isolated\, storytelling can bring us together. Story Jam is a bi-monthly story circle where community members can meet to get to know each other through personal stories. All members of the Upper Valley community are invited to join the circle and share an unrehearsed 5-minute true story from their own life. No competition\, no judgment\, no lecturing\, no ranting… Just share a story about something that happened to you and listen to other people’s stories. Whether you are a new or seasoned storyteller; whether you are shy or extroverted – all are welcome! The moderators will keep track of time to make sure everyone has a chance to speak. \nFor more info\, reach us at storyjam@uvjam.org

SUMMARY:Pride Prom 2026
DESCRIPTION:JAM’s Pride Prom returns for a 5th year in a row!\nIf this were an actual high school\, you all probably should’ve graduated by now. Once again there will be live bands\, dancing\, photos\, LGBTQIA+\, and whatever else is supposed to be at a prom. Whether you were cheer captain or on the bleachers\, come with friends\, a date\, or by yourself. $5-20 recommended donation cash or venmo at doors\, all ages and identities welcome. \nTHEME: Classic 80’s Prom! We’re returning to our (crimped) roots so tease up that hair and break out those timeless powder blue tuxedos. We will elect gender neutral prom royalty for best lewks of the night and award prizes generously donated by our sponsors. \nLIVE MUSIC BY: NanaUpsideDown\, Vallory Falls\, and Burly Girlies! \nPlease note that in order to create a welcoming and inclusive space for our under age and sober adult queer community members\, this year’s Pride Prom is substance free and we ask that you do not smoke or consume alcohol inside of JAM. Reentry will be allowed and you can always visit WRJ’s totally tubular\, local restaurants and bars for a bite to eat and a quick bevy (if you’re of age and that’s your thing) between sets! \nAccessibility concern? Email info@uvjam.org \n\n \n \n Pride Prom RSVP\n Help us know how many people to expect and stay in the know about any last minute changes! \n \n Email\n \n Number of attendees\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ\n \n \n\nThank You To Our Sponsors!

SUMMARY:Chronicle on Choice & Consequence
DESCRIPTION:A media arts exhibit in Junction Arts & Media by artist janet e. dandridge. \n“In 2019\, Yrneh Gabon\, Artivist & actor\, invited me to participate in a group show at the 2020 Dakar Biennale. Excited and eager to exhibit in my first international art fair\, I began creating a new live performance work. Then the Covid 19 pandemic happened. In 2022\, the biennale was re-opened and the group show was back on. However\, in 2021\, I became pregnant with my son. Once I became aware of the new dates for the biennale within months of its opening\, I had to make a quick decision\, “Do I withdraw completely\, or do I create a new work in this short period of time?” I realized that I could make a work using a readily accessible medium to convey the love\, the doubt\, the strength\, and the choices that must be made once someone becomes a parent. Chronicle on Choice and Consequence (CCC)\, an intimate video work\, explores the labor of motherhood and of one’s career. CCC reflects on definitions of labor\, and how pregnancy\, delivery\, and childrearing are undervalued. Chronicle on Choice and Consequence contributes to the discourse on improving laws\, and societal and cultural perspectives for Labor Rights and Women’s Rights.” \njanet e. dandridge. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \nAccording to SAG-AFTRA\, intimacy coordinators are “industry professionals\, intimacy coordinators work closely with production personnel to realize the director’s vision while promoting adherence to safety related terms and conditions.” Join VT-based Intimacy Coordinator Marci Diamond\, MPA\, AEA\, SAG-AFTRA for an interactive workshop exploring industry best practices and resources for filming scenes that include intimacy and/or nudity. Clear\, respectful\, professional boundaries and communication among departments and talent\, from casting through production and post\, can enable us to sustainably and effectively craft more compelling stories. Based on participants’ interest\, we can discuss approaches and resources for both live and on-camera productions. Note: this workshop will NOT prepare you to be an intimacy coordinator\, which requires significant training\, but rather provide a practical understanding of ways to create safer sets supportive of creative risk-taking; why\, when and how to work with qualified intimacy coordinators; and career pathways for those interested in this important crew role. \nMarci Diamond \n \nMarci Diamond\, M.P.A\, SAG-AFTRA\, AEA\, CPT (she/hers) is a VT-based professional intimacy coordinator & choreographer\, union screen & stage actor\, circus performer\, teaching artist and consultant.
Chronicle on Choice and Consequence contributes to the discourse on improving laws\, and societal and cultural perspectives for Labor Rights and Women’s Rights.” \njanet e. dandridge.
