Chad Finer

Chad Finer produces “Music in the Upper Valley.” Born and raised in New England, Chad got his start documenting live performances by recording Mende women’s music while in the Peace Corps in upcountry Sierra Leone in 1968. Chad came up to the Upper Valley in 1970 to attend Dartmouth Medical School and worked as an ER physician for 35 years in the area. Despite both his Mom and Dad being accomplished violinists, Chad has no musical talent. His interest is in recording and archiving music performance in the Upper Valley area.
