Sound ArtistAdam is a sound artist interested in site-specific installations, experimental music, and creating spaces for communal listening of and interaction with sound. His background in acoustics research and electrical engineering has recently looped out of the engineering space and into the arts of sound. He is the founder of Upper Valley Sounds, a small group of like minded artists and hobbyists interested in electroacoustic arts.

Director, ScreenwriterHayden is a Vermont-based filmmaker and storyteller whose work explores themes of isolation, human resilience, and the unseen forces that shape our lives. Drawing inspiration from nature, folklore, and lived experience, his work blends haunting visuals with deeply human stories, inviting audiences into worlds both strange and familiar.

Director, Screenwriter, EntrepreneurJamie has directed/produced/choreographed numerous musicals and plays. Over the years she has volunteered on short film sets that led to an associate producer credit on a feature film, Armed Response in 2013. Currently, an entrepreneur, she finished her first screenplay and can’t wait to make her first movie.

Based in the Upper Valley, they like to make and create weird art in community with the other incredibly talented DIY artists they have met here. They have a deep love for puppets, gore, the internet, mixed media projects, movies that are bad and movies that are good.

Lily Thaler Wellborn
Screenwriter, Cinematographer, WriterLily grew up in Norwich, Vermont and is currently a student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, set to graduate in Fall 2026 with a bachelor’s in media production and currently working on an accelerated master’s degree in media studies. She enjoys scriptwriting for screen and stage as well as working behind the camera.

RetiredI am a retired STEM teacher living in Thetford Center. I was inspired to join JAM as a media maker after taking JAM’s Digital Media class for Seniors. I’ve been working on digitizing my family’s Super 8 videos from the 1960-70s with a soundtrack of my sibling’s recollections of the scenes to create a family video archive to pass on to future generations.
Marcy Paini
AnimatorMarcy Paini is a fine artist and animator known for her process-driven, labor-intensive stop-motion films composed of thousands of paper cutouts. Paini’s films construct original characters and experimental narratives both comical and frightening using re-contextualized images from cinematic and photographic sources. Marcy is currently represented by Big Town Gallery in Rochester, Vermont and member of VT Comics Creators.

Animator, Animation DirectorNoah Mauchly is an American animator and award-winning short filmmaker. His films have toured in film festivals across North America and Europe. His animation work has been commissioned by such institutions as the National Gallery, the UK Department of Sport, Media, and Culture, and Vintage Books. He posts additional videos under the moniker Noah Sportsman on YouTube.

Director, Screenwriter, Editor, Cinematographer, Theater DirectorAfter Nora Jacobson is a Vermont-based independent filmmaker whose first commercially released documentary was Delivered Vacant (New York Film Festival, Sundance). After that she made several narrative films: My Mothers Early Lovers, Nothing Like Dreaming and The Hanji Box. Her 2022 mixed-media documentary Ruth Stone’s Vast Library of the Female Mind was recently broadcast on PBS, as was her film about high school opera singers, Passion in a Pandemic. Currently she is developing three narrative films and is in production on a documentary about the life of African American author and spiritualist Harriet Wilson.
