Artist Spotlight

JAM Artist Spotlight: Adam Leedy
Adam is a sound artist interested in site-specific installations, experimental music, and creating spaces for communal listening of and interaction with sound. His background in acoustics research and electrical engineering has recently looped out of the engineering space and into the arts of sound. He is the founder of Upper Valley Sounds, a small group of like minded artists and hobbyists interested in electroacoustic arts.
“My work investigates the relationship between sound, space, and social connection. I create installations and demonstrations focused on self regulating feedback loops responding to acoustic properties of a given environment. I invite the audience to join and participate in a way that their presence affects the installation. I’m drown to the way sounds interact with each other, the environment, and the observer.”
Adam's Movie Recommendation

My favorite movie of all time is the 1981 psychological horror Possession staring Sam Neil and Isabelle Adjani. Neill’s perfect portrayal of paranoia and rising tension leading to Adjani’s raw performance of the climactic breakdown is a perfect execution in the genre. I believe is required viewing for any film lover, even those not accustomed to horror.
