Record Community Events
Do you like engaging author talks, compelling science lectures, melodious musical performances, exciting sporting events? Whatever the community event, JAM loves volunteers who love filming events that interest them. Since our small crew can’t be everywhere, we depend on volunteers to bring us footage from out in the community.

Design Social Media and On-Air Interstitials
JAM welcomes volunteers to help create social media and on-air community bulletins, station identifications, and other short form still art and short video announcements. Volunteers help gather information from town websites and press releases to create local government and non-profit bulletins that rotate between shows on-air and on social media. Familiarity with digital photo and video editing software and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) is a plus, but we’ll teach you everything you need to know! Edit Video and Audio Content
Help the JAM crew with our production flow by editing a show or two…or three…or maybe four. We can teach you media management skills and edit shortcuts using Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere. Honing media job skills is an investment in yourself that benefits your community as well! Contact us at info@uvjam.org.
Produce Your Own Show!
Our favorite volunteer projects include community members who want to produce shows. Produce a short movie or documentary, podcast, interview local people or businesses, start a studio show—whatever your interest, we are here to help you create! We only ask that you allow us to air your show on JAM cable TV and streaming. Learn more at Create.
