In 2012 David Celone couldn’t find a poetry reading group in the Upper Valley area, so he started his own, offering readings both at his then Long River Studios Gallery in Lyme, NH, and WRJ, where Lampscapes owner Ken Blaisdell opened his store to the event. The poets eventually named themselves the Lampshade Poets. As Lampscapes filled with furniture and artwork, the readings moved to the Coolidge Hotel and Janni Moselsky-Hansen’s Café Renée until Covid closure. Two of the original poets, Janet Watton and Pam Ahlen, will resume the readings on November 9th at 7 P.M., open to all Lampshaders as well as any poet who is interested in reading an original piece or two and willing to be videoed for JAM’s community access
