How does my gift help JAM?

When you make a gift to JAM – Junction Arts & Media, your donation enables JAM to empower all Upper Valley residents to have a voice, actively participate in local government, and find joy and belonging in the Upper Valley community.  JAM provides a unique creative hub for media education, events including the White River Indie Film Festival, and local video and audio content creation where people can come together to learn, organize, and celebrate across lines of difference.  Thanks to community support, JAM is able to foster civic engagement through media coverage of local government, candidate forums, and other public events for local cable channels and streaming.  Formerly CATV, JAM is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides access to the expanding world of media.  Your gift may be tax-deductible.

For more information above giving to JAM, please email: Laura Di Piazza, Development & Communications Director at laura@uvjam.org

JAM – Junction Arts & Media is the trade name of Community Access Television, Inc., a 501(c)(3) exempt organization as described in section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.  FEIN – 22-3205843

Your gift builds community and empowers Upper Valley voices through the media arts.

“The time spent with other creative young people was great, and the exposure to different tools and methods for creating animated stories was inspiring.”

Where does JAM receive its funding from?

As the federally-mandated cable revenue that has funded community access media since our start in 1993 declines each year due to “cable cutting,” JAM increasingly depends on community donors, grants, fees-for-service (including production services and tuitions), and sponsorships to survive.  In January 2024, JAM adopted a Three-Year Strategic Plan that maps our vision for JAM’s future. We are building a new funding model needed to ensure JAM endures as the highly valued community resource the Upper Valley depends on. Equally important to JAM’s survival is our mission to keep media education free and accessible to all, especially our community’s most vulnerable and marginalized members. Your support is essential.  We can do it with you!

JAM is grateful for the support of the public and private foundations that support our mission and work.

“We collaborate with JAM on a number of projects, including enlisting them to simulcast a forum on housing… They are doing so much to make our community more welcoming and interesting and aware of its own histories and possibilities.”
