JAM Summer Feature Film Intensive

As a participant in JAM’s Summer Feature Film Intensive, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of feature film production, including on-set location filming, directing actors, art direction, camera and lighting, sound, and animated title design. The final film is intended for general distribution (festivals, theatrical and streaming), and upon completion, participants will receive a professional credit for your crew role(s) in the distributed film. This program is designed for high school and college students with a strong interest in filmmaking who seek a rigorous educational opportunity exploring the field.
- Ages 15-20
- $1400.00 per session/$2700.00 for both*
- Directed by Samantha Davidson Green, Chico Eastridge, Jordyn Fitch, Cedar O’Dowd and Noah Mauchly
Please note: This production will be led by staff and will follow protocol for a professional film shoot. Shooting day schedules will be determined closer to the start of production. Crew must be available anytime within the days of the session, including some night shoots. Shooting days will be up to 12 hours. Hours will vary, minimum 12 hour break between start and end of shoot days.
Applicants are encouraged to sign up for the entire session for continuity. However, we understand this won’t be possible for all and will also accept participants for one of the two-week sessions. Upon selection, your commitment is crucial. Failure to meet commitment requirements will result in non-refundable termination from production.
Participants will gain exposure to all aspects of filmmaking, but you will also be assigned to a department to contribute more deeply as a crew member. We will do our best to match you by your areas of highest interest.
To apply, please complete the application below. NO previous experience is required. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Notification of acceptance and your department assignment will be made within 2 weeks of receiving your application, upon which 50% deposit will be billed. Your spot in the SFFI will be confirmed when 50% of payment is received. The balance will be due by May 1.
