Intimacy Choreography Workshop with Marci Diamond

March 6 @ 1:15 pm - 2:30 pm

According to SAG-AFTRA, intimacy coordinators are “industry professionals, intimacy coordinators work closely with production personnel to realize the director’s vision while promoting adherence to safety related terms and conditions.” Join VT-based Intimacy Coordinator Marci Diamond, MPA, AEA, SAG-AFTRA for an interactive workshop exploring industry best practices and resources for filming scenes that include intimacy and/or nudity. Clear, respectful, professional boundaries and communication among departments and talent, from casting through production and post, can enable us to sustainably and effectively craft more compelling stories. Based on participants’ interest, we can discuss approaches and resources for both live and on-camera productions. Note: this workshop will NOT prepare you to be an intimacy coordinator, which requires significant training, but rather provide a practical understanding of ways to create safer sets supportive of creative risk-taking; why, when and how to work with qualified intimacy coordinators; and career pathways for those interested in this important crew role.
